DATA PRIVACY NOTICE

1. What information do we collect?

We will be collecting your personal data which can be personal information and/or sensitive personal information.

1. Your mobile number and your municipality when you access the Wi-Fi Portal
2. When you register as a user and choose your category, we will require the following:
   • a. Student: Name, School, Email Address, Learner’s Reference Number (LRN)
   • b. Teacher: Name, School, Email Address, DepEd/School ID, Uploaded DepEd/School ID
   • c. Government Employees: Name, Agency, Agency ID, Email Address, Uploaded Agency ID
   • d. Work From Home Employees: Name, Company, Company ID, Email Address, Uploaded Company ID, Work from Home Certification from Company HR.
   • e. Frontliners: Name, Agency/Company, Agency/Company ID, Email Address, Uploaded Agency/Company ID.
   • f. Government Official: Name, Email Address, Position, City/Municipality, Government ID, Uploaded Government ID
3. Indirectly, we will have your other personal data when you upload your IDs. These include, but are not limited to, the following: Photo, Signature, Government ID Numbers, Blood Type, Home Address, Birthday, Emergency Contact, Educational Record, Job Designation, and other details stated in your uploaded ID image.

2. Where do we use your information?

The personal information we collect is for:

1. Your mobile number and city/municipality are needed for us to send a One-Time-Pin that you will use to access the Wi-Fi Services for one (1) hour.
2. We will use your registration information and your uploaded ID/document to validate the request.
3. Once validated, we will send the voucher code to your email address. You will use the code to access the Wi-Fi portal as a categorized user.
4. Other personal data collected will be anonymized/de-identified and will be used for statistical reports and analysis.

As a data subject, you may object to the processing or choose not to give any personal data. However, if you do not provide your mobile number and city/municipality, we cannot send the One-Time-Pin (OTP). You can register as a categorized user after you log in to the LINKod KABITENYO Public using the issued OTP. As a categorized user, you will have more usage time depending on your category. Unregistered users can only access the Free Wi-Fi portal for one (1) hour per day.

3. With whom do we share your information?

PGC will share your personal information with PLDT and its accredited third parties. PGC and PLDT have entered into an agreement with confidentiality and personal data protection clauses. We will share your personal data for the following purposes:

1. For the Issuance of One-Time-Pin when accessing the Free Wi-Fi Portal
2. Collecting and managing your registration request as a categorized user
3. To send your approved voucher for you to enjoy the benefits of a registered user

When you agree on this Privacy Notice, it will also mean that you are giving us your consent to share and disclose your personal data to PLDT and its accredited third parties.

4. What security and control measures do we use for the protection of your personal information?

PGC has implemented necessary security measures (Organizational, Technical and Physical) to ensure your personal data is secured and protected. We have also required our service provider PLDT to implement necessary and appropriate control measures.

Among the technical security measures, we have implemented include encryption in our connections and subscribing to cloud service.

5. How can you exercise your rights under the DPA and revoke your consent?

As a Data subject you have the following rights under the Data Privacy Act:

1. You have the right to be informed of the collection and processing of your personal data and the purpose for which they will be processed. Thus, you are required to read the privacy policy before giving consent to the collection and processing of your personal data.
2. You have the right to reasonable access to your personal data.
3. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. You will be given an option to withhold the consent of processing your personal data.
4. You have the right to rectify or correct any error in your personal data.
5. You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data in an electronic format.
6. You have the right to suspend, withdraw or order the blocking, removal, or destruction of your personal data in accordance with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act.
7. You have the right to be indemnified if you incur damages due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained, or unauthorized use of your personal data.

When you send us your request do not forget to state the following:

1. Your name and mobile number or other contact details where we can reach you out to give an update on your request;
2. Documents that can establish and validate your identity such as valid IDs; and
3. The purpose of your request, concern and queries.

Also, at any time and by the means mentioned, you may revoke your consent to the processing and use of your personal information.

PGC will only retain your personal information for up to one (1) year after the implementation of the project after we have answered your queries or resolve problems, provide improved and new services, and comply with legal requirements under applicable laws.

When the personal information that we collect is no longer required or when the above-mentioned retention period has expired, we destroy or delete all your personal information in a secure manner.

6. Online Visitor Details

PGC may use your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, referring URL, pages and files accessed, time and date of access, errors generated, time zone, operating system, and other visitor details collected in our log files to administer and improve the Website, and to enhance your experience with the Website.

PGC may from time to time employ the services of a third party to analyze statistical and aggregate data about the Website’s content and our user base. This aggregated information will not personally identify you and is employed for improving the Website’s functionality.

7. Modifications to the Notice of Privacy

PGC reserves the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Notice at any time. You may check the contents of this Privacy Notice at any time by sending a request to the email account dataprivacy@cavite.gov.ph.
